Whos a tax dodger then Mr Paul Flynn?

Flynn starts in his own unique way: Cameron is to cut Housing Benefit for under 25s in 2015 to welcome home sacked Afghan war veterans - adding poverty to Post Traumatic Stress.

Well no, its an idea not actually a law yet. Still why let facts get in the way of a good rant, after all Flynn never has.

He carries on:

Cameron is in trouble, no answer to whether members of the cabinet or Tory friends like Gary Barlow are evading their taxes. In desperation he tries to change the subject and hit at an easy target. Again it's hammer the 'scroungers'. He knows that certain moronic newspapers will lap up his story and allow him to avoid answering the questions that the country is asking.

 Well lets not mention an alledged comedian Mr Carr who has also dodged his tax, but if we are talking about some of the biggest tax avoiders out there, we need not look any further than one Mr Paul Flynn. Why? Well he has flipped his home, thus avoiding stamp duty. A tax and one that many pay, well not Flynn but many people do pay it.

Is this really the sort of rubbish that we pay MPs 65K a year, plus 100K+ a year in fiddled expenses to do:

A  symptom of the contagious infantilism of the Jubilee is the urge to garland anything that does not move with a royal title. The attempt to re-name Big Ben the Elizabeth Tower may be a sycophancy too far. Equally forlorn may be the campaign to rename the Jubilee Line the Elizabeth Jubilee Line. That will be stymied by the vast cost involved.

An intensive lobbying campaign by Tory MPs has failed to convince more than half the total of 650 MPs that the title Big Ben should be ditched. There have been extravagant claims that the matter is virtually settled.  The Commons Commission who decides these weighty matters told me that they have yet to receive a formal request or evidence of support. They have had a request from me that St Stephens Tower (the correct name) should be re--named Democracy Tower.

The Palace of Westminster is divided into three segments, Royal, Lords and Commons. The massive Victoria Tower dominates the Royal West extremity of the building. The Commons East extremity of Big Ben deserves the Democracy title. That would achieve the elegant balance of Crown and Commons. It would also be happily consistent with parliament’s historic separation of the functions of the Commons and Crown. At the State Opening of Parliament, slamming the door in the Queen’s messenger’s face symbolises the Commons’ prized independence.

Democracy Tower would go some way to correct the long standing neglect of the heroes of British democracy. The Chartists and the Suffragette campaigned and sacrificed to extend the suffrage beyond the exclusive preserve of rich males. Their heroism is invisible in the Palace of Westminster. There are a thousand portraits, statues and mementoes of royalty. There is a suffragette memento. It is a small plaque in a cupboard.

Give me strength. Oh where to start on this one. Why rename something that has had the same name for donkeys years just for a few rabble rousing 19th century terrorists who should have been hung drawn and quartered, rather than sent on a holiday in the Antipodes.

Still if its not wasting our money on calls for flood defences in case Newport gets hit by a tsunami. Its renameing a bloody clock.

Paul Flynn, MP for Newport West, calls himself the "moderate voice of sanity in the Commons".

Sanity!? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

Are taxpayers propping up Paul Flynn MP?

Hardened commie Paul Flynn has had another dig at the royals, so I figured I would take his article and turn it around a little bit.

Flynn asks on his webshyte:

Is royalty propping up charities or are charities shoring up royalty? The royal spin machine is in overdrive.

 

The Charities Aid Foundation claimed their ‘new research’ shows that  “The Queen supports hundreds of British charities to raise £1.4bn a year for good causes”.

And the UK taxpayer shores up Paul Flynn to the tune of 65K a year + £100+K in expenses, for little if any real work.

 

Flynn, who was supposed as an MP to have taken an oath of loyalty to the Queen carries on:

The research was limited to adding up the total income of all the 510 charities that have the Queen’s imprimatur on their notepaper.  No comparison was made with the income of charities that lack royal approval.  The Foundation confesses that they know of no proven advantage of the royal seal of approval. No calculation was attempted on what amount of the £1.4bn was attributable to patronage. There is no causal link

 

The tenuous historic links between charities and royalty have increased to match the declining public approval of royalty in the past 30 years.  The myth of the fairytale blue-blooded superbeings died. The newly minted myth of an ideal family disappeared under the triple stain of three royal divorces.  Cosying up to charities was the new wheeze to spread to royals by osmosis the goodwill that charities enjoy. It also provided a new role to justify the income support that the nation donates to the under-employed minor royals. It appears to be working.

And what approval rating for the slitheryMr Flynn? The voter turnout declines and even then his share of the voters keeps going on down? Seriously he scrapes through when barely 39% of folk bother to get out and vote.

 

Still as per the last post, come the day the sheeple will wake up. They will realise their pockets have been picked of countless hundreds of thousands by this aged benefits claimant and throw him out on his aged ear.

Oh the irony of an aged claw handed expenses fiddler claiming that "Perople should have the right to hold their elected representative to account."

Maybe Mr Flynn could start by paying the local taxpayers back the profits made on his flat, the 10 grand in wasted legal fees on his libel case and so so much more.

Indeed if Mr Flynns bill was passed and the good voters of Newport told him to kindly piss off, it would in his own words "go a long way towards addressing peoples disillusionment with politics."....

Indeed our MP has claimed £7,052 for new kitchen, as well as work back in 2006 on his kitchen coming to £1580. 

 

Not just kitchens Mr Flynn feels that you should also pay for his carpets,  having claimed £1,153 on carpets and £1,200 decoration for his London property in 2005. A property later sold at a profit to himself, sadly the taxpayers did not get their money returned to them.

He also claimed £9,629 in stamp duty and fees, yet more money off of you and me.

Then we have £1000 deposit on kitchen equipment, and back in 2006 he charged the taxpayers £1201.90 on decorating his humble abode.

Plus he has claimed back mortgage interest as well, nice work if you can get it.

He also doesn't like paying his bills, he gets you to pay them instead: water, electricity, council Tax and even his television license all paid for by you.

Although I will correct the above, he no longer claims his tv license being of an age where he can claim it for free, well free as in no longer on expenses.

Then he also helped himself to a nice sofa £1745, yes you paid again folks'and a chair.  Plus another £189 on a bathroom cabinet.

One ravel small sofa bed beige costing £750 quid and a vanilla pluto chair costing £995 quid.

Then we have one tv table £150, one side table £90, a dining table & four chairs both £150 quid.

One leather look manager chair coming to £64.98. Oh and £424 on a bed.

Worst of all was this smug self congratulating vomit inducing statement from this odious MP:

The published figures demonstrate my modest claims and reassert the accolade given to me by the Daily Telegraph as an 'Expenses Angel.'

The proven liar and expenses fiddler has now aimed his arthritic guns at perma tanned slush fund manager Peter Hain.
Flynn says -

An early morning call from Radio Cymru brought me the welcome news that Peter Hain was standing down from his front bench role.
After doing the real job, it's not very satisfying doing the pretend one.

Much like Flynn pretending to be a decent honest MP. High time Flynn slithered off into retirement.

The  'Big Questions'  show from Bristol this morning kindly gave me a chance to air some of my recipe for restoring trust. Two years ago the expenses scandal dragged faith in politicians down to rock bottom. Now it's worse. It's subteranean. I was asked to read the prayer that is said every day in parliament. If everyone believed this there would be no scandals.

It will take many years to rebuild trust in politics. All MPs are judged by many to be lying thieves. The details are forgotten but the mud still sticks. The sins of predecessors are visited on present MPs. 

Right, rather than list all his many sins I shall just point out that this 64 grand a year wage earning MP, claims all his utility bills off of you.

In fact he only stopped claiming his tv license when he got to 75 and was able to get it for free, thats free as in not claiming it back on expenses.

Sins of the predecessors, hardly. Whilst the slug Flynn infests his high office the expenses fiddling will carry on.

Newport deserves better.
